PINOCCHIO

Geppetto the toymaker tosses aside a piece of wood; it’s only good for the fire. To his amazement, a voice answers him back. Geppetto picks up the wood and begins to carve – and a small wooden boy is revealed. A puppet, which he names Pinocchio. And that’s when the mayhem begins. Pinocchio can’t stop getting into trouble, despite the best efforts of the Blue Fairy and the Cricket to keep him on track. His intentions may be good – but the temptation to discover the wonders of the world and make his fortune keep getting in the way.

Alex Hill
Pinocchio
Alexander (He/Him) is a passionate young artist and is excited to be performing the role of Pinocchio. He has performed as the lead in 13 The Musical ‘Evan Goldman’; Abigail’s Coven ‘James Warland’; Addams Family ‘Uncle Fester’ (National Academy Performing Arts); Legally Blonde ‘Dewey & Kyle’ (Harvest Rain); Midsummer Night’s Dream ‘Theseus & Oberon (The Southport School). He has also undertaken acting courses with NIDA, La Boite, NYFA and Queensland Theatre. Outside of the acting world Alexander involves himself in the music program at The Southport School including Senior Choir and the Speech & Variety Club. Alexander has embraced drama and musical theatre wholeheartedly and is passionate about pursuing a degree in Performing Arts or Musical Theatre at the end of Grade 12.

Kendal Ranger
Fairy
Kendall is 15yo and has always had a love of the Performing Arts. She began dancing age 4 learning everything from Ballet to Musical Theatre. Currently with Academy Dance Studios, she competes in both group and solo eisteddfods and currently doing Advanced 1 RAD Ballet. Kendall has attended many acting workshops, favorites being Ben Parkinson and Cinzia Coassin. She also enjoys screen acting and modeling having appeared in TVC’s. Her previous shows include "Romeo and Juliet", “Peter Pan” (Technicolour), “Charlottes Web”(NAPA), “Grease” and “Wizard of Oz” - Arena experiences (Harvest Rain) and school productions her latest being “We will Rock You”. She is passionate about Performing Arts and looks forward to a career in the industry with dreams of performing on Broadway. Kendall is thrilled to be a part Technicolour Theatre Company and to do this production of Pinocchio.

Toby Marais
Cricket
Toby (He/Him) is a South African born Australian that loves to perform whenever and wherever he can. In his past he has performed as Mowgli in 'The Jungle Book' (KCC), John Darling in 'Peter Pan' (KCC) and most recently, Francis Flute in "A Midsummer Night's dream' (Technicolour Theatre Company). Toby loves everything theatre and is passionate about building his acting resume as well as delving into characters and bringing them alive. When not caught acting, he can be found surfing or playing other sports.

Poppy Nowlan
Candlewick
Poppy loves Theatre, Dance and Musical Theatre & is excited to be performing the role of Candlewick for you. She has appeared in: Romeo and Juliet 'Juliet'; Peter Pan ‘Tootles’ Technicolour Theatrical Company; Oliver ‘Orphan’’; Pinocchio ‘Dance Captain & Ensemble’; Spark and the Crystal Crusade ‘Odette’ (Spotlight Theatrical Company); One Act Play Festival ‘Alice in Wonderland’ (Gold Coast Little Theatre); Rock of Ages ‘Featured Dancer’ (Benowa State High). Poppy studies dance with Academy Dance Studios and is a highly skilled soloist and group competition dancer across all genres. As a soloist she has won multiple awards at various competitions across the region. Poppy is a Performing Arts Scholarship recipient at both Primary and High School.

Ryder Calbert
Mercury, Tom & Johnny
Ryder Calbert started speech and drama classes on the Gold Coast when he was four years of age, successfully performing and competing at a Eisteddfods and speech competitions. It was the thrill and adrenaline of being on stage that lead him into the theatre. Ryder currently attends St Andrews Lutheran School in year nine. He has performed in Shrek NAPA 2018, Lord of the Flies NAPA 2019, Oklahoma NAPA 2019, King and I GCLT 2019, Chicago 2020, Metamorphses 2021 GCLT

Ella Gill
Bird, Edith & Daisy
Ella (She/Her) is a passionate actor, musician, and writer. In 2020, she was an extra for the television series 'Young Rock'. Ella has had training in acting from drama excellence in school and from Technicolor Theatre Company. She is also currently performing in the mass ensemble arena experience of 'We Will Rock You' with Harvest Rain Theatre Company. As well as acting, Ella enjoys making music. She plays grade 8 AMEB piano, grade 7 clarinet, and is learning the guitar and ukulele. Ella aims to pursue a career in acting and screenwriting and excited to participate in more acting opportunities.

Jaron Dalton
Police, Mr Sandpaper & Clown
Jaron’s first big role was playing Rafiki in “Lion King Jnr” (Saint Stephen’s College, 2017). He was one of Fagin’s gang in “Oliver!” (Spotlight Theatre Company, 2018) and in the ensemble for Monty Python’s “Spamalot” (SSC, 2018). He played a lost boy in Technicolour Theatre Company’s 2019 production of “Peter Pan”. In 2021 he played the role of Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet with Technicolour Theatre Company. He’s been a circus kid for a number of years and loves to ride his unicycle or skateboard while juggling. He’s also a junior trainer with Circus Stars, working with young kids on the autistic spectrum.

Noah Martin
Teacher, Rabbit & Pip
Noah Martin is an young and upcoming actor willing to do what it takes to get on stage and perform for others. Ever since he hit the stage in performing Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat Noah has fell in love with the performing arts. Noah has also performed in Pirates of Penzance as a Pirate, and his latest performance being Romeo and Juliet with Technicolour Theatre Company starring as Paris. Noah is very excited to be apart of this journey with Technicolour Theatre Company and is thrilled to be able to bring the story of Pinocchio to life.

Daisy Rowe
Ticket Seller, Octopus & Harriet
Daisy Rowe is a young drama enthusiast, Daisy has appeared in theatre productions at Spotlight theatre, Harvest Rain’s and has also played lead roles in the school’s drama productions, including comedic, melodramatic and realist dramatic forms. Some of the different plays Daisy has been a part of include A Midsummers Night Dream, House on fire and Hiss the villain as well as the arena productions Grease and Wizard of Oz. Daisy has a solid foundation in all aspects of Dance. Performing in numerous eisteddfods, dance,
and drama competitions. Daisy has won several awards including most improved dancer and the spirit award, 2nd place for a duo drama performance and HC in a small drama group section. Romeo and Juliet was Daisy’s first performance at Technicolour theatre company.

Joshua Farnworth
Freddie & Winkle

Joshua Farnworth’s first acting experience was when he was in grade 5, he participated in the self-written school musical called Bugalicious. In this show he played the role as the Soldier Ant. In 2017 he participated in Spotlight Theatrical Company’s production of Oliver! in this he was in the ensemble. In 2019, Joshua participated in Harvest Rains’ production of The Wizard of OZ, he was a part of the mass ensemble. From July of 2017 to March 2020 Joshua attended Spotlight Theatrical Company’s Musical theatre classes. He now attends Technicolour theatre company on Tuesday’s. From the start of 2019 to the present-day Joshua Farnworth is apart of Helensvale State High Schools’ Drama Academy. Joshua has loved the community and people he has met through all of these performances.

Anton Tait
Pepe, Crab & Peter
Anton (He/Him) has many passions in acting, directing and singing. Anton auditioned for Oliver Twist (2018), directed by Andrew CP. This propelled him into his acting career and ever since he has loved theatre and musicals, that same year he auditioned in NAPA’s Tarzan and had the first experience with a mic. Anton auditioned for Fame (2019) and in 2020 Anton joined Technicolour Theatre Company and was in its second production of Romeo + Juliet. The next year Anton had auditioned for his school musical Footloose (2021) and had been given the role of Cowboy Bob. His taste for making music and singing had him forming his own band in 2021 named Good Question. His creative thinking shows no slowing down as he continues to play roles and sing on the stage.

Abby is a 15yr female who has loved acting since she was 3. She has been participating in drama classes since the age of 7 and has this year moved to Technicolour. Abby has no professional experience but was apart of NAPA. She has been a part of ensembles for every musical performed with NAPA for 4 years. Some of the NAPA musicals included, The Wiz, Horton Hears a Who, and Camp Rock 2. With all the passion and enthusiasm, she hopes that she can make all TTC productions come to life.

Abby is a 15yr female who has loved acting since she was 3. She has been participating in drama classes since the age of 7 and has this year moved to Technicolour. In 2019 he accepted a Special President's Award for services to Gold Coast Theatre.
